Canon/JVC/Sony shooting in HDV

hi all three of these Brands have cameras capible of shooting in HDV mode, but can i play back tapes shot in a Canon HDV camera on a Sony/JVC HDV deck or visversa. if so why or why not. thanks Darren

This Query should have been answered long back. I don't know whether responding now will make any difference to them or not. But I feel that we should give it a try. What do you say? Thanks
