PB and Shawshank Redemption

Guys i heard that the story of PB is actually from a movie called Shawshank Redemption. I have not watched this movie, is there any one who has watched it is it true its the same.

In some parts it is. Like they both make freinds with the Warden. But the story line is not the same. Like in Shawshank only one guy escapes. While in Prison Break there are a whole group of people that escape. But in Prison Break they keep on chasing the fugitives while in Shawshank they don't. So overall it is kinda same.
