Ever have a roommate who eats all the food and never buys groceries? And then denies that they eat anything?

OMG.. yes.. my last 2 roommates both did that. One I finally had to kick out when he was over 4 months behind on his portion of bills, and in the year he lived with me, bought just under $200 worth of groceries. I'd go shop, bring home $300-500 worth myself and he'd say he's pitch in the next payday, and then the next, and well, it got old fast. He denied right up until the day he finally came and got his stuff (24 days after I booted him out, rent free, thank-you-very-much-jerkface) that he ate very much, but he wasn't a small guy and he certainly helped himself to every big meal that was ever made. The last one was a sneak about it. My other roommate and I would mark boxes with our names so no one else would touch it and you'd often come into the kitchen late at night or at an unexpected hour and discover him eating one of your granola bars or pouring a bowl of my roommate's special cereal. And then he'd deny having seen the big gigantic B or C in Sharpie marker on the side, and say he's replace it. But he stopped buying groceries 4 or 5 months before he moved out, claiming he spent all of his time at his boyfriend's and ate there, never at home. It wasn't just food with him though.. if you raved about the new skin cream you had just bought and left it in a common area, 3 days later you'd discover it, half empty in his room. I bought him so much product it's not even funny. :(

Plant a couple of mildly altered foods in the fridge like Exlax laced chocolate chip cookies. If he doesn't eat your food then he won't be harmed.
