Downloaded and installed the new IE7.0 (XP -SP2) but now when I go on line to view a PDF the system goes to sleep and becomes non-responsive - have tried everything I can think of (including re-downloading and installing) and changing the option boxes under multimedia in the tools - internet options.

Dude. IE sux, get Firefox and your troubles will be over.I had used IE for years kept reading people saying use FF but wouldnt, then I read a article about why IE was so bad, there are losts of security flaws in it that they dont and wont do anything about, its like they want the flaws. Then I started using FF, and surfing has never been the same. I will never go back to IE, in fact it and windows will be a thing of the the past before long. Most people fear change, its easier to just keep doing the same thing, but sometimes change is good
