The book is The Kite Runner. Definitely a must read. Very emotional and superbly written. Even my younger brother who just decided to read this type of books recently said he might have to cry reading it. Its a very touching and moving story.

My favourite part of the book is when this had been said by Baba "When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness." The book indeed is a substance on its own. I am extremely happy to have received The Kite Runner as a gift...and had given it to my friends too.

well, how to say, it is still a sad story. the living condition for those Afghanistan children is so bad. The mosted wicked part of mankind was arosed in that place, how can a child grow up in misery have healthiness in the heart and body? I feel sorry about them. And about the book, the story is affecting, with a bright end, after so many torture and despair, the young boy and "I" can help each other to a peace of heart. How I wish of the global peace and equality of all races!

Oh wow, this was some book. It really gave me some insight into life in Afghanistan and the caste system. It was also a very emotional experience. I think of it every time I see news about Afghanistan.

Whew this book was a emotional one. I really found it very interesting and relevant to today's current events, while still being an incredible story in its own rights.

The Kite Runner is a great read alright! Without meaning to be offensive, dearie, where is the discussion? You've just given us the most brief book review. What do we discuss about the book here? Please elaborate.

Warning, this book is not for the faint hearted.Dark in nature, the book is written from the perspective of an afghan who is born in a rich household, and how his world is shaken through various circumstances. The book also portrays the horrors perpetrated by the taliban. In conclusion, the book is simply mindblowing!!!!!

Yes, it was a wonderfull read. Apart from the sketch of Afghan's downfall from glory to misery, writer also weaved the story of complicated relations and the emotional strains. Every page is high in emotions both internal of the charachter and outer, the atmosphere. I especially like the last part when protogonist achieved his reconcilation and redemption. "for you thousand times over" this line really tugs your heart.
