i certainly have many discussions here with 0 responses. at first, it really bothered me. it is just so disappointing. and then i have read discussions with the same problem that i have-- having no one to discuss the topic to. so i realized that my problem is not only my problem. i mean, hey there are many people in mylot, and i don't think that i am the only one with no response in my discussions.. lucky you if you have many responses.. how would you feel if you got no response? [ill hope somebody will respond in here]...^^

I feel mad and frustrated when i get 0 response or barely any. I think what topic i start with is a great topic and good discussion. For me now i just post more than start a thread of my own. Just hang in there and it will get started once you start knowing more friends and stuff. Just post replies and start a new thread yourself once in awhile. thats what i do.

I feel disappointed too. Thinking that while writing the discussion you are so excited that your thread will be noticed, you'll get no response??? Really disappointing.

I'd like to share my tips here: I am not sure if there is something to do with each other between earning ratio and respond amounts. but getting more responds to the discussion I created always makes me happy! well, that's what I am going to talk, why others get more responds than you, though you are discussiong the same topic. First of all, let's see what drives people to make a respond??? According to my study, there are two kinds of ppl and also two types of responds here on mylot usually! 1. short responds with only a few words, and the posters are usually newbies or money addicts. They make a respond just for increasing their post quantity to get more rating and to get to 500 so that they can use copy and paste function; or other guys who only post for money purpose. Their posts are usually meaningless. 2. long responds with many words and abundant contents. These posters are usually serious ones. They only respond to the topics that attract their interest, and they have something, some ideas to show or to share on that very topic. They always give out of their own ideas in their responds; both the discusion creater or other readers can gain something from their posts. Now you may know that which kind of posters you need to get hold of! It goes without saying, we should drive the 2nd posters to make more responds. While whether they make a respond or not depends on what you are discussing! That is the content of your discussion, if it is worth discussing or not!!!!!! So now you may know how to make a discussion??? a. always discuss something that most ppl may be interested in; b. always try to make your discussion meaningful; c. always make your discussion has abundant content; d. always post your own ideas in your discussion; e. always try to type more (but not bullsh*t); f. always ask questions at the end of your posts (drive the others to comment on your ideas) Enjoy your mylot day and good luck!

I'm definitely one of the second type. I search out discussions which I find interesting and try to add something to the discussion. I have tried starting discussions but haven't had much response. But I'm grateful for the response that there has been. I've only been here a few weeks so I don't have a lot of experience to use but I do enjoy it when I find and interesting discussion with interesting responses such as yours. Thanks for encouraging good discussion.

I also have several topics with no responses. And I get disappointed everytime i logon and there are no responses yet. But then, maybe that's just the way things go here at myLot. I am beginning to understand it now. Same holds true with my responses with no comment from the topic starter...Sometimes, we think of good things to say in our response only to be ignored ot not to have been read at all.

In facts lots of users here will search for those good good discussions to make their comments as to make a discussions more interesting but the things was when your topics get too far behind the page it might be very hard for users to come across it. To me sometimes I will search for any discussions that I feel interesting page by page and if I can't find any I might just left for a while without making any comments at all:) Just keep on your good works and am sure one day you will get some good responses for sure:)

Yeah am sure you be the only one who facing this kind of problems:) Some of my discussions were getting very less responses as well and that was fine for me as I don't like to always ask others to particularly look into my posts.Anyway most of my discussions still get atleast few responses instead of "0" respond and I do hope hat you will get more and more responses for your coming discussions:)

I notice that the same people who receive hundreds of responses to their discussions also have some discussions with zero or 2 to 4 responses .. It might be all about luck, the right time to post, having good friends on your list (not necessarily many), etc ..yes it feels bad to receive no responses to a good discussion but I found out that a discussion with zero responses may start to be active any time later on..

sometimes it takes time before you get response to some discussions, try to gain more friends and respond to their discussions, this is a good way to get responses. Sometimes though you can solicit responds when you come across similar or discussions that has something to do with your discussion and point them to that particular discussion you have and ask them for their opinion. The best way to get response is to discuss under the interest that is listed in mylot. Just leave them there in time you will get some response. If not open another. Just keep going. Good Bless.

I think when discussions have been resolved, They should be moved to another section so then everyone can see their friends list of unresolved discussions and so be able to see the ones which havent many or any repies. This would make things so much easier.

I feel disappointed because when I post a discussion here I am really interested in getting a variety of responses. Then as was stated in one of the responses here that there are a whole lot of people here and I guess it's the fact that the people that are interested in your discussion have not come across it yet. I have some discussions also with 0 responses. After awhile you just take it with a grain of salt and just keep coming here doing what you enjoy doing.

i do feel bad if i have 0 responses in my discussions but hey, considering the thousands of mylot users posting thousands of topics a day, it should not be a surprise to me. i just ignore this fact and continue posting. besides i do get lucky at some discussions because i get many responses. some days are bad, some days are really good.

I don't have any discussion with no responses, but if I would have one, I will probably feel sad, because I will feel that no one cares about my discussion. That's why I post discussions that I know will attract members to response, and I don't post discussions with the same questions of other members. I love to post diffrent kind of discussions that would help me to get more responses to my discussions.

Haha! .. i feel the same way too at first you know. WHen i just started here on myLot, i really get depressed if i got 0 response to my discussion. Kept asking myself what was the problem or how come no one responded but as time goes by, i got used to it! hehe. . . I don't mind if no one responds to my discussions or just 1 or 2 or 3 persons just replied. Its fine with me. I'm enjoying my stay here so what the heck with 0 responses? lol (",)

I have several discussions with no responses and it is disappointing. It doesn't bother me as much as it did at first, but it still bothers me, as I'm sure it does all of us.

I've got some posts with 0 responses too.. It's quite disappointing sometimes cos I know that my questions are usually very easy to answer, or doesnt require too much brain power to come up with a sensible response.. But it's ok.. I guess people are just not interested with it for the time being.. Hopefully, since more and more members join us every few minutes, some of them might be curious enough to give their time in replying to my posts.. God bless us all..
