What does the star with a number above your name means?

And what do you need to do to get that star?
I see a lot of them with number 8 and 9.

Thats a new features which was just introduce by mylot. The star was a sign of the reputations within the community and at this moment only those with a ratings more than 100 will get that star. Detail on this new reputation explanations can be found on the following link or by go through your Alert message by mylot.

It say that it is determined by the mylot community.

it means the thier rank and how much they have participated with my lot the more the rank the more nice u r
