Is anyone here into Interior Decorating???

I'm totally into the country/primitve look (the houses, sheep, all that good stuff!) I love the look. I think it makes for a very warm and cozy environment. =) Just a thought

I have always shied away from decorating themes. Usually, what I have collected over the years, are all precious because they speak to some part of me. So, to begin with... look in the mirror. Who are you? What do you love? Look in decorating magazines. Cut out what appeals to you. Study picture by picture, detail by detail. Is it the color? The clean or rather messy look? Do you love new furniture with rather sleek lines, or older rich antique pieces that carry a history? Or both? What do you like to do? Do you like to explore thrift shops and see what pops up and what speaks to you, or are you a busy woman who likes to shop posh online sites. Do you like to laze around in a big cushy chair, or do you entertain wealthy friends and/or clients? When you can answer most of these questions you will have your room. Believe me, it will just materialize. My sense is that a lot of what you might need you already have, but just could use differently, maybe in another room or for a different purpose. Or maybe simply by adding paint or covers to furniture, or something totally different to the walls. On the other hand, if you're starting a whole new cycle of life and want to toss and burn... go for it! And if you need it now, call a local decorator. www.labohemegypsybazaar.com
