If a parent continually quizes the children on the mother's activity, if the children (10 years & 13 years) are questioned until from 7pm to 1am, whether the granny discussed the father with them and the children are left crying and sobbing, if the children are told that the father is not their father, that their mother is going to abandon them (and she is not), ect ect. Is this mental abuse?

It is not only a cruelty to the children, but also will have a far reaching effect on social behaviour of the children. It does not auger well for the parents / any one of them or both if they are involved in taking out the information about the other person from the children.

Absolutely! It's mean. Why would anyone do this?
