No this isn't another poll. I just wanted to let all my friends here on mylot know that tomorrow my daughter (5months old) will be going into surgery. She has had 3 intestinal surgies since birth & this time she will be having a G-tube (a feeding tube through the abdominal wall) inserted, a nessan placed (a tie off at her esophagas & stomach to prvent relux & keep her food down), a revision of her old scar (the last surgery had to be left gapping open & healed poorly). After she recovers from this surgery & learns to eat again she will be ready to come home! She will still have her physical & occupational therapy, but I can manage that. She'll also have a feeding pump & lots of special medicine.

Thank you & yes, I'm very nervous. As for getting home early, I doubt it. It's a long drive up (longer with the bad weather) & we'll be up there most of the day.

I hope everything went well with your daughter today. So much for such a young baby. At least at this age she won't have a memory of it. Children are so resiliant. God bless you and your family. I will keep you in my prayers. Please let us know how things go. Good luck, be safe and keep faith.

I am glad to hear that her surgery went well and she is recovering now, I hope that she will be able to come home and be with her family soon. Good Luck and I will still keep her and your family in my prayers, I know how important it is for infants to be at home bonding with their family.

Her surgery went great. He G-tube was placed in & so was her nessan. She is obviously very sore & on pain meds. As for not remembering it. Your right, but she will have bad scarring from it. She has a bad scar from a broviac that was in her chest (it was moved to her leg due to infection), a large (& poorly healed) scar that is sidways from one side of her bellybutton to almost to her back, and now another one going up & down the middle of her chest & another hole for the G-tube.

I hope that everything goes well, may God send an angel to be with her during her surgery, and one to be with you too. Your family will be in my prayers.

Thank you. My inlaws are coming to pick up our son today while we go to the hospital. My mom called & told us how there were already 35 accidents on the freeways (according to the news) - and that was at like 6 this morning. I hope the roads are a little less icy soon.
