This is a debate that has gathered momentum only in the past century or so because before that the lot of women was to work at homes and be treated unfairly.
What acording to you is the position of women in todays society and is this position fair?

No, society does not still look upon woman as equal to man. Otherwise people would not be talking about equality. We do not ask is bearded man equal to clean shaven man. Because they are equal and the question never arise. But not so between man and woman. To the society's eyes, they have different roles. Sometimes some woman may take up the roles of a man and vice versa but those are exceptions.

Let's say there are two students. If one student gets the first 2 questions right and the last question wrong, and the student B gets the first question right and the last 2 questions wrong, that means they got the same marks. However, we can safely say that in some skills, student A is better, and in some areas, student B is better, yet they are equal because they have the same mark. This is how I figure it.

To say that men and women are equal is debatable. However, in reality that will never happen in this century.

for me, id think that women must be subordinate to men in terms of their relationship. they must submit to their husbands. but nowadays there should be limitations too. women and child must be protected if the head of the family abuses his right being the head.

Well it has been my experience and from what I have seen that no in todays society women are still not treated equally. My reasoning starts in the home. Women are expected to work outside of the home or maybe they want to work either way the "womens" chores are still left for them at home. In most cases women are still expected to cook, clean, do the laundry, and be in charge of the kids. Even in those scattered relationships where the husband seems to be wonderfully supportive of their wife they still fall short in taking on their share of the chores and or parenting. It is still up to the wife to keep things in order. For example if the in-laws come for a visit and the house is in disaray it is still looked upon the wife for not doing her job. No one looks at the husband as not keeping up their end. Still UNFAIR!

in todays society, i think there is now more equlity for both men and women. opportunities for work is not only centered for men but as well for women. women had already prove that they are very good homemakers, taking care of their husband, children and as well doing the household chores. There have been a lot of changes specially to how women think, we all want to have career in the outside world. women nowadays are more flexible in a lot of ways and even excel in the field they wanted. I salute women who inspired other women to bring changes to the society. its actually a fact that there are really things that only men can do, but, there are also things that women can also do. so i guess the position of women in the society today i just fair.
