Shaving better for user and environment than hair removal creams

Shaving has less of an impact on the user's health and on the environment than using a hair removal cream an environmental group says. Any comments in this statement?

I'm a bit confused here, ike.
Are we talking about ladies removing hair on various parts of their bodies or men and their chins?
I have never used hair removal cream on my chin. I feel it may not work, as I need something like a chainsaw on my bristle as it is!!
What do people do with the creams to harm the environment?
