Can i become a barber?

I have 2 felonies on my record, I made mistakes but all i need is another chance.I would like to open a shop in the future so i could take care of my family.

I suggest you do whatever you want. Everybody deserves a second chance. i think opening a shop is a good way to support your family. although some people would still judge you on what you did before, there are also still those who believe in you. there is no harm in trying. what matters now is that you are trying to support your family the best way you can in a good way.

I don't see why you couldn't go to school to learn to be a barber. That would certainly be a good income and a good way to make something of yourself. In some places you need a license to cut hair, but I don't think that felony convictions would prevent you from getting this type of license. Do you have a parole officer that you could ask to help you get started?
