can you gain an earning when you rate any responses from your discussion?

i havent tried to rate any responses from my discussion does it give a points when you rate some responses?

we donot know exactly how rating helps in
the increase of earnings . some members
have given tips to get more earnings . in
one of the tip they said "Apply plus ratings
to all good replies" . perhaps it helps
both giver & receiver to get a little more
money .
