Are there any nurses on my lot. I am considering going to school for nursing but I wanted to talk to someone who is already in the field. If you are a nurse can you please give me some feedback on the aspects of your job good and bad. Also how long did it take you to graduate. Thanks for responding!

It is a wonderful field to get into. Not only do we need great bedside nurses, we need nurses in other fields like community health, education etc. I graduate in December and almost have too many choices for where I want to end up. It pays well, depending on what part of the country you live in. Here in the Pacific NW, our nursing salaries are the highest in the US.

First of all, I like your screen name. And secondly, with a name like that, what's keeping you. If you are a servant of God, he must have put the nursing idea in your head. I will be a nurse in August. Probably the best effort I've ever put into my life. The field is so expansive, and job opportunitie are everywhere of every type. Go for your dream. Any job has bad to go along with the good, but God will guide you.

I think that is a wonderful career to choose from. We have a shortage of nurses here in nc. I majored in Biology and one of my dreams was to go back to school and become a pediatric nurse, but right now in my life I cannot afford to go back to school because I have two children and I can't afford to put both of them in daycare at the same time so that I can go back to school. I think that I might end up just taking a few classes at a time. It shouldn't take me too long since I already took alot of classes in that field.

Hi there, Servant of God!(",) Sorry, my response is already late, I just read this a moment ago.(",) Anyway, I'm a registered nurse already. I took the board last December, thank God it wasn't on June.(",) Nursing is not that easy I may say because it needs dedication, hardwork and alot more. If its okay for you to have sleepless nights and hundreds of paperworks, then go for it. If its okay with you to see blood and see dying people, then go for it. If you have love for those who are sick and broken in spirit, then go for it. I finished the course for 4 years and I'm glad I made it in the honor roll inspite all the hardships and difficult subjects. Being a real nurse is indeed difficult but if you will be able to go abroad then all the hardship pays off. If you want it then go for it. If you are undecided yet, pray for it. May God guide you in your decision making.(",)

I do know there is a shortage on nurses due to burnout and such; but these days, you can earn a good deal of money in the field so I have been told; I am considering getting into Nursing school by next year hopefully;
