Some researches have found that: 1. 7% of working women were either dismissed, made redundant or left their jobs due to pregnancy discrimination. 2. 45% of women who have worked while pregnant said they experienced 'tangible discrimination' such as denial of training opportunities & changes in job description; 3. 21% had faced discrmination that may have led directly to financial los; 4. 5% were put under pressure to hand in their notice after announcing their pregnancy; & 5. Only half the women had a health & safety risk assessment carried out. Whats your opinion on Discrimination against pregnant women in the workplace? Isn't that cruelity?

Discrimination against pregnant women at work place is wrong until its real discrimination. Otherwise many people see the care taken of the pregnant women in office is taken as discrimination and in such situation, its not a discrimination.

It depends what someone would classify as discriminatory. These days everything someone demands and does not get is often classified as discrimination. If pregnant women would have some respect for life, and would use their comon sense they would'nt want to be working while they are in a motherhood state. However that would be to much to ask, for the average woman.
