Is cheerleading a sport too??

As a cheerleader, I believe that it is also a sport. Cheerleading is not just about short skirts or skimpy outfits. It is about aiming for something, uplifting others' spirit, and driving your motivation. Though cheerleaders are often mistaken as bossy, flirts, and outspoken, we still want to have the respect that we deserve from all the people around us. Cheerleaders are born, not made.

Yes. Oh well, it is a give and take relationship. The cheerleaders motivates the players while the players motivates the cheerleaders. I think one can't survive without the other. A game will definitely be boring without cheerleaders because we liven up the moment.

Cheerleading is a sport in some other countries like in the U.S. You can watch cheering group compete with other group in any Sport TV channels.

i believe cheerleading can be considered as a sport. cheerleading is not that easy. i know because i've done it when i was in highschool. for one thing, it involves gymnastics which is considered as a sport. cheerleading also involves body strength and endurance.so you really need to have a healthy body. you have to work for it to make your stunts perfect. in short, you have to practice a lot. and lastly, you must have a strong spirit, patience, and sportsmanship. these are usual characteristics when one is involved in sports.

Yes, if they're good and they actually do acrobatics.
No, if they're like my high school squad and they put on a rap song and just jump up and try to show their ***** under their short skirts.

I Admire everyone here who is saying that cheerleading is a sport! Thank You! I have been cheering for 8 years and i love it! I cheer in california for a National ranked team and let me tell you it is hard work. Practices for hours just trying to perfect a 2 minute routine! Crazy if you ask me but I wouldnt want to0 be doing anything else! =]
