Hi DiosaMorada, This ChaCha thing DOES look very attractive for anyone inclined to do genuine web research from home. I'm curious about the eligibility criteria, though. You state US residents only, but I didn't see that spelt out on the ChaCha web site. Is that an in-house or clubby sort of thing? The other thing which I'm curious about is whether you are a Master ChaCha Guru - which is apparently what one has to find in order to solicit an invite to the ChaCha club. If so, how long does it take to get to the Master stage? Anyway, it might all be superfluous if the US resident thing is firm, seeing as how I'm half a globe off on that count. Any advice would nonetheless be welcomed.

Dodo, At this time Chacha can only accept people who are "authorized" to work in US. You don't necessarily have to be a citizen or live here. Yes, you HAVE to be a Master Chacha guide to send out invites, and if you catch on well, you can get that in one to two days.

Well, THAT was clear as mud! What exactly does "authorized" to work in the US mean? At the risk of being flippant here, would a letter from my mother be sufficient authorization? Don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to be nasty or anything. Just looking for simple clarification. I DO feel the urge to verbalize the observation, however, that there's an awful lot of good online money-making opportunities, but the lion's share to them seem to be limited to US residents. Again, that's not a complaint or a gripe, it's just an observation of the reality as it stands right now. If anything, it shows just how behind the 8-ball most other countries are in comparison to the entrepreneurial mindset and the enabling economic culture that pervades the USA. I can say with confidence that if I were a US resident (which I'm not) I would be very well off indeed, entirely from being able to exploit legitimate online opportunities.

It is a legal issue (and no, mom's note won't work). If the company is based in the US, unless they are set up to hire outside of the country, they are only able to hire those people who are legally able to work with in the US. I worked in an office with employees from Australia, and they were required to have either a work visa or a green card to work there. Even though you may no be physically working within the US, you awould be working for a US company who may not be able to hire outside of the country. I'm not entirely positive on the legality of it, but you are welcome to contact ChaCha directly to verify this. They may take a couple days to respond, but they usually do respond. As to the amount of job opportunities within the US, Yes, there are quite a few, it's a matter of going out there and finding them.

I have no idea what it is either! I am right there with you. I think that it might be some kind of search engine, but I am not sure! :)
