Is anyone actually making a decent income with Google Adsense??

I have been reading about Google Adsense and the rest of the Gogle things and was wondering if any of you actually know of anyone who has made some nice money using google. Maybe you could share your own stories if you have tried yourself because i am very interested to hear. Maybe you could even give some pointers on what to do and what not to do...? Is it all a waste of time or is there some legitimacy to it?
