How to maintain the health of chihuahua?

I just want to get some ideas to maintain the health of her for longer life. Anyone with experience, please let me know what are the symptoms,sickness in common they will have it? Currently twice in a week i'll feed her with half cooked garlic which can prevent her from fat's accumulation, avoid thicks and flicks.
