I think Windows has outdone Mac because of the programs that work with it. If Apple comes out with a os that runs Windows and Mac programs, Windows may be hurting. I've been using Windows since 3.1 and it's come a long way. Much faster, and easier. But the os keeps getting bigger and bigger and it's seems like it's been unstable since Windows 95 came out. But the Mac os has always been stable, it's never a memory hog, it definately is much fster, and the newer os is a lot like Windows.

hello, i use windows xp you can use any of the operating system depending the specification of you pc. because if you use windows xp in a slow computer it will eat up your system, when you boot in the loading is slower and when you are opening any of the applications it will slow down your syetm. so it depends the specification of your machine. good day :)

I have Windows XP on my PC. It's much better than Windows 98 was. However, on my Toshiba laptop I have Linux installed. On the hard drive I have Mepis Lite, which is very pretty but unfortunately as my laptop is so old it's very very slow to load. So, I mostly run Puppy Linux from the live CD. I really like Puppy, and once you get IceWM installed you can make it look like any OS of your choice. At the moment I am using a Mac-style interface which is very nice indeed. The newer Linux distros are pretty easy to use, especially if you get one with a live CD,but unfortunately my PC is shared and the rest of the family would be pretty annoyed if I installed another OS on here!

I too have always used Windows. I have heard from a few people that while MAC is more expensive, it's supposed to be a lot easier to use.

Now, i am using windows xp. I don't have any plan to change my operating system. Although microsoft has just launched microsoft windows vista. But for now i prefer using windows xp, maybe there are still many bugs in new vista. I have ever use linux once. I think linux have better security than windows as i never get viruses when i use linux.

Windows operating system is very user friendly. if you try to use linux operating system such fedora core or mandrake you will adjust to its new work environment and command settings, i think windows is the best for end users or it depends on your judgement about this os what is best for you.

I started mine from windows 3.10, and later to windows 3.11. I've never tried any of the other operating software. The are very specific and only windo is more general and user friendluy. I guess that is what make microsoft to be above all.

I first started using MS-DOS, then Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME and now Windows XP.. I think Windows 98 is one of the best OSes in the windows series. Right now Windows XP is great for running the current applications and games.. Waiting for Windows Vista

I use windows XP as well as Linux (Ubuntu,Puppy and Slax) Of these 4, Windows is the most driver friendly and Ubuntu has the more advanced security features. XP tends to slow down with use much more than Linux.
