If you were to choose, what is more important to you? Would you gain more knowledge instead of having wisdom, or the other way around? I say I'd choose wisdom, it exercises good judgment, gives an insight and reflection to discern truth. It is consists of making the best use of available knowledge. So what's your stand on this?

I'd choose wisdom anytime. Knowledge is learned, wisdom is experienced. I think that says it all. Or should I elaborate for the benefit of the administrators of myLot who say responses should be long for bigger earnings?

LoL!;) Who told you that? Former President Marcos was intelligent, but not wise in using it. Now, do I have to elaborate this also?;)

Even very foolish people can have high intelligence on exams. I would choose to be wise rather than intelligent, because wisdon has the ability to use intelligence. There is a saying that "common sense is not that common" . Wisdom is a pearl to be sought after.

There are many intelligent people I knew that abused their power because they lack in wisdom. I've learned that, "Patience is the companion of wisdom". So I try to do my best and live through wisdom because intelligence can be just anywhere, we can learn it everywhere.

when i was a littel i always admire those genius and "knows it all" person. they have been by model of truth and i strived to be like them as fas as i can. but then as i travel this lifetime i have come accross some or most of the time situations that common sense and knowledge is ignored and in those times i find myself lost... but then because of those awful situation i find the wisdom that i should have and give more i,mportance to what you believe in and not what others will think of it. thus, i cant choose either one maybe the level of importance yes. i trssure wisdom than knowledge cause this both is my tools to reach my still unknown goals.

i think we need both... we need intelligence to study, to acquire more knowledges and wisdom to know how to use that knowledges.

What's the use of knowledge if you don't have the wisdom to formulate your knowledge into sensible, useful ideas? I'll have a stand for wisdom too. I know some who's so intelligent, yet they don't succeed in life because they just don't know what to do with their lives.

You are right, knowledge without wisdom can sometimes lead us to foolishness. Knowledge is nothing if we don't know how to use it wisely.

I would prefer wisdom. Wisdom is something that you learn by yourself. Something that you can choose to learn or not learn. For me It's a sort of a “hands on” experience. Wisdom is not just academics- It's more of life, more of experiences and more about life’s truth. Wisdoms lessons aren’t learned in an hr or two. Or in a classroom or in an institution. Wisdom is gained everywhere and It's does not take just a session to learn. Some wisdom that you might now have are results of years and years of failures or experiences. A man can be intelligent but not wise…

That is correct, good judgement and better views on things is what wisdom provides for us!;)
