Mediacom vs. Sinclair Broadcasting - is it getting you too?

Who has been affected by this? In my area, Sinclair owns the ABC affiliate station and has been off of the air now for about two weeks now. I still can't quite believe such a standoff has happened. I wonder if they will ever reach an agreement? For those of you who don't know about this, there has been a huge contract dispute between these two companies, with Sinclair wanting Mediacom to pay a lot more for the rights to broadcast their stations and Mediacom refusing. They were supposed to lose Sinclair stations at the end of 2006 and then there was a brief reprieve, but finally the Sinclair signal was pulled. Mediacom is giving out free rabbit ears for people who want to try to get the TV stations that way. What I have been doing is going to ABC's website and watching free episodes there. It's only hurting me in that Boston Legal is not offered, but Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters are, and I have now developed quite a fondness for Ugly Betty. Still, I hope they'll resolve this soon. It's just weird. Is there anyone else out there who's missing a station due to this dispute? Do Tell!
