why must people make fun of others?

This must be very embarrassing for you as your friends obviously think they're so perfect, that anybody else can't match up to them. They're very shallow people, and probably insecure in their own lives, so they have to find fault with everybody they happen to come across. This will come back on them in the end. Hold your head high, carry on as you are, for you are the better person. I believe that a person's beauty comes from within his soul. If you have a good soul and live and let live, then you are a far better person that your friends, who haven't found their inner selves yet, and who have to make their mark on the world by showing an arrogant, mocking character, to hide their own fears.

yes,i don't think it is good and polite to make fun of others,everyone has his excellence and disadvantage,so i think we can not make fun of others for their disadvantage or mistake,as everybody in the world will make mistake.

I used to get made fun of a lot and I still do sometimes even by adults. I came to the realization a long time ago that people who make fun of others are only doing it to make themselves feel better. They obviously are not comfortable with themselves so they think that calling others name or pointing out others bad points will make themself look and feel better. It's sad, but true!

No, I do not make fun of others. I find it rather repulsive. I usualy say something to the stranger and make them feel bad, and if I did not make them feel bad I will go out of my way to embarrass them, like they tried to do with the person they were making fun of. It seems to be a favorite pastime for some people, and I just can not grasp why they enjoy it so much. I know they do it for the sake of their low self esteem and the pure pleasure of being mean, but what other reasons could they have?

I think people make fun of others to distract atention from their own person,maybe because their not confortable with certain things about them.Ever had the impresion that someone makes fun of others only when he/she is with his/her friends? I believe thats why: to show how cool they are,and distract from their own person.Or maybe because they dont have anything better to say at that moment to atract attention.Anyway,thats my opinion.Thanks for the time

I personally don't do it. I hate when people do that! They wouldn't like it if someone was doing it to them. I think people do it to keep their self-esteem up.
