What do you do about a teenager who is hostile and keeps asking for money?

Well actually its my neighbour that faces this problem and is very upset with it. His 16 year old son demands money everyday and throws a tantrum around the house if his wish isn't fulfilled. At times if his parents argue with him he leaves the home for like 3-4 days and then his mom keeps crying for him ... Though I have many things on my mind I would like to tell my neighbour but I want to make sure to give him an advice that really helps him out. All help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Tell him to cut the kid off, Don't give in to his tantrums. Let the kid get a job if he thinks he needs money. Also, if he wants to run away, fine, but when he comes home, take away all of his stuff...He has to earn it back, if he runs away again, the same thing should happen. He doesn't OWN his clothes, his PARENTS bought them for him, if he wants clean clothes to wear to school, he'll start behaving better.. *hopefully*

Well I do agree that its time for his dad to take a tougher stance.

He is a parent so he have the rights to do the right thing. He must not spoil his child because he will do it again and again.
