Hi, in the third test between India and South Africa, Rahul Dravid made 2 tactical blunders that cost the match even before the toss. One-he didn't select Bhajji and two-he included sehwag personally. Being a man who seems to listen to his heart rather than his mind, is he genuine captaincy material?

there is nothing wrong with him..he made the decisions in good faith and we now know they are blunders..but if they had worked then rahul dravid should have been man of wonders...everyone makes mistakes..he has done is hare of them...you just can not judge him on one series..he is calm, he has the will, he is compassionate, he is sincere and he has the every ability of the leader, he just needs some time to prove himself...

sorry but i don't agree....after a match anybody can say that u haven't don't this or that ...but thats not the way how life works...at this moment rahul is the best option India have as a captain since he goes by the book which is the safe bet most of the times...doing things by heart is also good but it depends on chance ...lets give his guy a chance at least ...

well when u talk abt captaincy , u see the country , we arent the ausies , to be silent and walk off , or the south africans , the passion the country has got is tooo much the captain of indian crcket team must be AGGRESIVE , and must be ruthless and dravid is too soft , doesnt hav that captainship material [:X]

certainly they were blunders i think he was under the influence of the coach since the coach has come it is only his way the onlyway thouugh not always correct the success of the team india is based on hiis whims and fancies. when he says white it is white although he lacks the patriotism. in my opinion a coach should b indian

Na Dravid is Not at all a Captaincy Material, having a look to his Nature and the way he plays, He is a cool and compasionate player. But this Coolness has Payed him many a times. you can keep in for being the captain for the test because his compassionate nature comes in use in the Test. If you go for the big picture of Now a do Cricket that is One Day Internationals or say the Twenty Twenty Cup.... He cannot be a good captain.. Not at all a Aggressive Captain, Sometimes Compromisings... Compromisies Never pay in International Cricket. Needs to change the attitude i.e Mr.cool one to a Admirable one that can Change the Whole Indian Cricket Team. have a Look at the Present Captains of all the Teams who u can find a Hint of Aggressivness: -Ricky Ponting (Abviously Aggressive) -Greame Smith (Just recall the Gr8est One Day intl... Btween Australia and SA.... Dont have to Spk more than that) -Mahela Jayawardane (A well Mixed Captain... Has the Needed Aggression and The Attacking Nature.... Deserves to have the Tag of the Captain of World XI in Oneday Internationals) - Stephen Fleming (How can u forget this man... One of the Most Attacking Captains with a pinch of aggression... has Changed the name of Cricket In New Zealand after Taking over as Captain.) -Micheal Vaughan( Remember the Natwest series in 2006 which Included Bangladesh Also.... I dont Need to say Anything More than that) - John Davison( Canadian Captain.... Remember he holds the record of Scoring the Fastest Cenury In World Cup.... Remember he had captained so well in that game against West Indies)
