We sometimes have this discussion at our house. My daughters are all taking Spanish classes instead of French. My husband and I think Spanish is more useful than French? I can't imagine a time when the girls would actually need to speak French--Spanish, definitely!

I would say Spanish for sure,I live in Canada and the so called french we are forced to learn is not even French,I am pesently trying to learn Russian and I can understand some German,I used to know Perisian French but lost it due to our idiot government. Please, let them learn any language they like, knowing them is a big asset.
