MY NAME IS ANNA NIHCOLS AND WAYNE NICHOLS, WE HAVE EVACUTAED FROM HURRICANE KATRINA, TO ATHENS TENNESSEE, WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A HOUSE IN TN. WE LOST EVERYTHING THAT WE OWNED IN HURRICANE KATRINA, WE NEED HELP TO GET FURNITURE AND LINENS, A BED, REFRIGATOR, A COUCH, TOWELS, ETC. TO START LIVING OUR LIVES SINCE HURRICANE KATRINA, WE NEED MONEY OR DONATIONS FOR THESE MUCH NEEDED ITEMS, WE REBUILT OUR HOUSE IN MS AND SOLD IT BUT IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO BUY THE HOUSE WE ARE GETTING LET ALONE THE PERSONAL ITEMS NEEDED TO PUT IN THE home IS THERE A SALVATION ARMY AROUND THAT CAN HELP US OUT ON THIS? WE NEED HELP FOR WE BARELY ARE SURRIVING AND WOULD LIKE TO START OUR LIVES AFTER A YEAR AND WHAT WE SUFFERED AND WENT THROUGH PLEASE ADVISE

Check out www.freecycle.org People list things on there that they want to get rid of, you can also post wanted adds. Hope this helps. There are many of them around, hopefully there is one in your area too.

Have you checked into federal funds for Hurricane Katrina survivors? Also, here is a list of churches in Athens, they might be able to be of some help.

They should be able to direct you to someone who can help. Have you looked in the local phone book for Salvation Army or social services?

right im not finacitialy able to help. for one, im a current student at monroe college,after the disaster,we all gather to do a cloths drive, i donated atlease a bag of cloths. also we had a donation drive, if im curect we raised, 2.000 with the president of the college matching the difference.
