I am taking a geology class and would like to ask a survey among mylot users, answer if you have time. . . If you were a geologist, would you prefer to study contact metamorphosis or regional metamorphosis to gain clues on what happens beneath the Earth’s surface? Explain your answer

It depends on what scale you want to study the endogen processes. On a local scale, I would rather study contact metamorphosis, as it gives clues to the local magmatic intrusions found in the area. On a wider scale, the regional metamorphosis tells you of subcrustal processes from a larger zone, not so local as the contact metamorphism.

If I was interested in geology I would probably study that, but I'm in an introduction geology class right now and can't even grasp the basic concepts! Sorry.

lol... this one is tough... it makes me think...But if I were a geologist, I would prefer to learn more about my place... how it came into being, a more focus study... If you call that contact metamorphosis, let that be it. How about you what would you prefer? Can you elaborate on contact metamorphosis? I'll be back to see your comment on this. Thanks... lol... aren't we learning here?
