I find wives and girlfriends complaining a lot about their spouces that they dont listen to them when they talk. I personally face this many times that people just make some sound indicating that they are listening to us whereas they are in their own world thinking about other things. Sometimes it offends me whereas the other times i ignore. What do you think should be done to make them concentrate on what we speak?Did you face this situation any time.

It depends - do you talk alot or talk for the sake of talking? Some men just switch off because they are goal orientated so unless you get to the point easily, they might just ignore you. Youhave to be direct. To gossip - just ring up one of your girlfriends.

It is not for the sake of talking. I just would like to share my days activities.

My husband does it to me all of the time, I do it to him all of the time. I guess it is something that happens eventually when you have been together so long. My dad does it too. I used to say "Ice Cream!" as soon as I noticed he wasn't listening. Now it has become a joke. It worked though, I got his attention. I don't know how to get people to concentrate on you when you are talking. I just saying something like "It was only a hundred dollars, okay?" that usually gets their attention.
