The last book I read was "Shantaram" which is currently being developed in Hollywood as a major motion picture. It's a long book that deals with an escaped convict settling in India and working for the mafia there. I liked it though some parts are slow-moving. Almost too descriptive. And yes, I feel that I can recommend it to those who enjoy books that take their sweet time to develop the storyline.

Thank you, it's sounds interesting even though it's long. I will save that one til I have more time.

The Seven Summits. A book about to 50'ish men who decide to try to climb the tallest mountain of each continent in the world and their quest to reach their goal. The book has everything from laughter to tears to anger and many other emotions. It is a condensation of the trials and tribulations of 2 fairly inexperienced climbers stretching themselves to the limit and their success and failures. It is a good book to read.It teaches us and encourages us to accomplish our goals.

I just finished The Monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma. Its a nice book with a lot of learnings, but somewhere I find that facts have not been written down well. A lot about the saints from the Himalayas seems to be just written down out of fiction and lacks base. I do recommend it to others for its learnings and the message it conveys for those who are not finding time for the things they would have loved to do, if not been under stress from job. But for those who look for finer details and facts there are many more such books you can find from reputed and learned Gurus from India.
