What do you think about speed traps and the job your police are doing?

I've come to getting use to it, but I don't feel it is right. My town is known for it's speed traps. A police car hiding behind a sign, building, tree or another vehicle is not my idea of good police work. I feel they should be out where they can be seen to deter crime. If they are going to sit somewhere, why not in front of our schools when they start or let out. A busy corner or shopping center. I feel they would be a lot more useful.

My town has city, university, county, state, and tribal police departments because we are located on Native American reservation land. Even with 5 police departments the cops are a joke. People get away with horrible driving habits here.. worse than I've seen in many other towns. I find it very frustrating that with so many officers you still have to deal with so many idiots on the roads. If nothing else, I wish that they would make themselves more visible.
