Oh that's quite funny! I am ashamed to admit that I pulled the best stunt ever in getting a day off - I was very young at the time you must understand this - I was an assistant manager at a papershop at the time and I was getting soooo tired of getting up at 4 in the morning and just wanted a day off.. I made out I had had an intruder in the night but couldn't call anyone because my mobile phone was in the car in the garage which was at the bottom of the garden, and I had been awake all night because I was too scared to go back to sleep! LOL I got away with it too!

That is pretty good, When I was suopervisor I heard a few good ones How about My dog had puppies and they are so cute I need to take a maternity leave to help her take of them, and she was serious. I thought it was a joke at first. Another person called in to say he was drunk the night before and lost his shoes and car. Another person called from her day job to say she had a heart attack, and couldn't come in for second shift, but left the number of the day job where she was working with her"heart attack" People are so creative.

yes there are a lot of people offering excuses, some of them that they can come up with are quite funny, like the guy who told me he had been abducted by space aliens

I used to manage a CD store, so I've heard some interesting ones... I actually had an employee call out one day because "it's a beautiful day and I need to commune with nature." When I told her that wasn't a valid reason she said it was a religious observance. LOL Another time an employee told me he couldn't get to work because he got drunk the night before and passed out and someone stole all his money while he was out so he didn't have bus fare.

i dont miss school or work, even if i got in a car wreck which i recently was in, i wont let little things such as this mess up my schedule and ruin my grades or income. it will just make things worse. i'll get a ride for a few weeks no big deal. as for a headache! cmon. i've a two year old who constantly is keeping me busy and hungry and tired. and i dont blame her for my headaches - and wouldnt even miss work or school if i had one.
