We all have old people in our family and neighbourhood. Many a times I have seen younger people making fun of these senior citizens.Have we ever tried to give some patient hearing and gain valuable insights of life which they have experienced? Is old age a phase of life which you fear to experience because of illnesses it brings? How can we help old people lead a happy and healthy lofe?

You are right worthy, we should treat all people not just with the old ones but all people around us should we give equal respect and care, and through this kind of manner we will surely make a difference in this world that full of hatred and corruption towards one another.

True, that nowadays some younger generation people tease elderly people and make fun at them and enjot themselves. We need to respect them as i every family there will be some older people either living with them or may be living separately. Most sad part is older people are neglected by sons and daughters and left alone to lead a lonely life either in old age homes or sometime worst part is they lead a painful lonely life induvidually.Listening to their problems make them feel comfortable. We need to give them our helping hands as old age is a life page which is written for all human being.

Hey I really hate the people who all are into it, teasing or troubling olp people doesnt make them so very attractive or smarter in this world. They must realise this that very soon they would be in the place of those old people and othrs in youth age will be in front of them, so then what????? I feel awful to see whenever someone doesnt tend to help the elderly people, like there are so many children who are not at all present for their old parents in their time when they need their most of the support. Children forget that today whatever they are is just becuse their parents were too supportive to them in their childhood and without them nothings gonna happen to them to achieve those thy heights. So I love to love all the elderly people around me and always feel to make them as happter as in their lives forever :-)

I think that old people should be treated with respect! We should listen to their stories because we can learn about the past! They won't be around forever and this is the only way we will learn history that people actually lived. I remember sitting at my grandads house with my sister not long before he passed away, and he was telling us about he and my grandma got together and all the troubles they had getting a home etc, and about some of his experiences from when he was in the war! It was so interesting... it was the first time I'd ever sat and properly listened to his stories. I'm sure he had lots more to tell but now it's too late. :0(

there area really a lot of people who don't pay respect to their elders...sometimes we cannot blame them for their actions, probably this elders have been rude to them when they were still young and take it, wounds in the heart are real hard to heal for they will always leave some scars... but again, upbringing of the child also counts...what he is today, is only result of what he was yesterday...does, it is very important that sense of respect and love should start at home...parents should make their children feel loved and cared so that when they grow older they can give the same love they have received... you cannot give what you do not have..right? so i think disrespect starts at home or probably because mistakes are tolerated instead of being corrected.
