I take your point about the clean home, must knock off soon and get on with the housework.

I'll take people. People are important to be around.

I love children and there are some very happy moments but what of those families who can't get it all together and the children are out of control.

Respect for one another as humans. And, while money doesn't buy happiness, material comfort greatly reduces your stress-level, allowing you to find joy in the simpiler facets of life. Force

That's certainly a very good point. Any ideas for how this can be overcome? Opinions of others invited too.

I didn't say christian homes were so special, they are not always happy ones, any home were there is love, is a happy home. I just gave you my opinion.

Your opinion was very much valued. I was just trying to open up the discussion a little. Christian homes are generally good homes, I agree!

What is so special about a Christian home? And how can those without any religion or with another religion accomplish it? And aren't some Christian homes unhappy, too?

I agree with several of you who say that a clean home is a happy home. Also, people and interaction in the home is good, whether it's a family, or visitors, friends, and so on. I think if Beaver Cleaver's Mom lived at my house I'd be really happy. All my work would be done, and I'd have cookies all day long!

That's a very thoughtful response and it sounds really nice, especially the cookies bit. Let's hear from some more of you.

Having people that love each other live in that home... and I don't mean obligatory love... like the kind where you have to love your siblings... i mean real love.

I think the following make a happy home: clean floors, food in fridge, lots of books, comfy couch, and company! that does it for me!
