Husband refuses to play with daughter's "girl" toys. Does yours?

First, my husband seems to have a problem with our son dressing up in his big sister's pink clothes and princess costumes (our kids are 3 and 4 1/2). And at the same time, he refuses to play Barbies, ponies, or anything else like that, with our daughter. Is this typical father behavior? I have heard of plenty of dads who have no problem sitting down for tea parties or dollies with their little girls. But my husband says his idea of a good time is playing cards, or a board game like Candyland. And I don't think he has interest in reading her any of her books, either.. he wants to wait til the kids are older, so he can read them Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars books. LOL! Is my husband insane?! Or am I overreacting?
