You can go to any local hospital and ask them about the details. They usually provide pamphlets that help explain the procedures as well as the need for organ donation. You can also tell your loved ones on your decision and ask them to make it happen when the time comes. I think by doing this it shows that you have a kind and generous heart and I do commend and admire you for considering to donate your organs.

All we have to do is when you go to motor vehicles to have your photo id taken for your drivers license is to check that you want to be an organ donor. It will state right on your license than what your wishes are. The cool part is that if in 4 years you change your mind, you can. In the mean time if you wish to help critically injured people, I would suggest that you donate blood on a regular basis.

i really admire you for your kind heart. i wish there were more people like you. anyway, about donating body parts, i think the procedure would depend on the country you're living in. in our country, here in the philippines, you can just indicate in your driver's license or on some id's that you are willing to donate your organs if something happens to you. as simple as that. but ofcourse, you have to indicate the specific organs you want to donate. i think you just have to check the box before the organ indicated. if the organ you wish to donate is not in the choices, you can check others and indicate the organ you want to donate.

Here in Ireland there are body donor cards available from our local pharmacy. We sign the back of the card and carry it with us at all times and that way when our time comes, the card will be with us, giving permission for our organs to be donated.
