is recording tv shows and then publish them on internet is a crime?

what if you havea tv tuner card and you record a tv show and then upload it over the net and then share with your friends, is it a crime or not?

Its not at all wrong, since it helps other viewers to watch that program on the website,but i would recommend that a ban should be put on posting mature content on the website since it would serious effect the tennagers.

I think that it would be considered pirating.. but everyone does it, and there is not much chance you will get caught. i would rather watch someting i downloaded personally. no comercials!
