why are some people so two faced?????

i know that across all walks of life some people will have to tell a little white lie here an there to keep themselves out of trouble, but why do some people pretend to be your freind day in and day out when little do you know, that they are slagging you off behind your back something chronic!!!Why cant they just be genuine folk like the rest of us??? My moto is if you like me, then talk to me, if you dont like me, then dont. Simple as that. What are your experiences with this "two faced" buisness???
