How old was your child when he/she came to you the first time asking to go out on a date ? What was you intial response to this ?

I have a 5 year old daughter right now and about the dating, she can go out for a date when she's 20 or after she graduated on her college years. most childrens born these years is more liberated and curious avout what's happening around them. and I the parents should guide her and explain everything what's on her mind and what's happening around her.

My daughter was 12, and she wanted to go to the mall with a boy. I told her I was not comfortable with that, but he could come over for dinner. And he did!!! They were so cute, polite, conversationalists, they watched a movie in the family room, and then we brought him home. We gave the kids some privacy, but not too much. It was quite a milestone for me to see my daughter (baby) growing up.

I can remember the first day my daughter went out with someone , it was a big milestone to see my baby growing up :) Thank you for your response .
