A lot of folks do beleive that they can do things on their own and they leave God out of the scene and when problems comes as a result of the descision that they have taken, they quicly run to God for help.God can indeed help in choosing a wife or husband for people by ordering the step of the right person meant for you across your path.

Since I don't believe in God, I'd have to say you are wrong. People set out in life looking for a specific thing in a spouse and by the rate of divorce and separations in the wrold today, I'd say that most people aren't looking for the right thing. The divorce rate for devout christians who say God helped then choose their spouse is as high or even higher than Atheists who go through life with no religious blinders whatsoever. if their god chose their spouse, don't you think they'd be content, and wouldn't they be completely compatable. Often, people have nothingbut their religion in common yet get married anyway because "God brought us together" I think you'd have just as much luck if you used a lottery system as thinking god did it.

maybe... but isn't love also like a gamble you would have to win? You never know if you would be loosing or winning

probably, you did not ask god for help. You chose the man you would marry, you decide on your destiny

Yes. If God has chosen the right man/woman for you, your life would be a perfect bliss. no arguemnets, all laughters, and you would grow old, loving one another. just keep finding the one god has chosen for you.
