Do you have horses? How many? What kinds? What colors? How old are they and what do you like to do with them. Do you show, trail ride, just ride for fun, have them just as pets, or pull carts with them? I'll start off with my little herd. We have 3 and 1/3. Midnight is my big 16.2 Rattail Appy. The next 3 technically belong to my 16 yr old daughter although I pay the bills. :-) Kasha is our 30 yr old Chestnut Arab cross. She's full energy even at 30. Cass is our 13 yr old Quarter horse cross. She's Bay and Chester (he's the 1/3) is our little miniature horse. He has attitude you can't believe. He's a black and white paint. Midnight can't be ridden anymore. His joints are bad. Kasha and Cass my daughter rides and Chester pulls the cart when he isn't breaking his harness. He's broken his harness twice now and I haven't been able to afford a new one.

I've got two horses. The first one is a registered Quarter Horse gelding. He's 6 years old and gentle as a lamb. My daughters are 3 and 2 and they love to ride him. My husband uses him as a roping horse and I use him as my backup barrel/pole horse. Our second horse is a Quarter Horse/Appaloosa gelding. He's 12 years old and a little crazy. He's my barrel/pole horse.

We also use them both for trail riding and roundups around the ranch.

Thanks for responding. I was hoping to get a lot more responses than one. I'm kind of surprised that your horse gentle enough for your little ones to ride and yet does barrels/poles and roping. Kasha, our 30 yr old was an old barrel horse and even at 30 she's a spitfire. My daughter rides her but you can't just put anybody on her. She'll take off with them or buck. Midnight was my one that I could put pretty much anybody on but we can't ride him anymore. :-(
