do you think men having a relationship with a homosexual are also a homosexual?

i've been thinking about it for quite sometime now and it's been bothering me if men whose having a relationship with a homosexual are also a homosexual. i have this friend of mine who doesn't agree with my thoughts. he had a relationship a homosexual once but never had any thing going on with the relationship. it's just company he says that he stayed in the relationship. what's your opinion with this?

If it's one single incident and not a pattern then he's probably still straight, but if it's more than one he's crossed the line of no return.
