Which is more secure and stable, LINUX or WINDOWS?

Linux is the best in security and stability. It is almost free from virus and spyware. I am using linux and gets connected to internet through it. I was not even affected by at least one virus or spyware. When i had windows i usually had to do virus scan and most of the time used to get at least 2 virus. Not only that i dint ever had a system crahed while using linux. Windows wont ever come near linux in these features and it is known to everyone. After all linux is based on unix and unix is known to be the mot powerful OS.

I think WINDOWS. Windows is more secure and stable. In Windows ,WINDOWS XP is the best. There are many versions of windows in market like 'Windows 2006', now may even 'Windows 2007' but WIndows XP is more compatible and stable.
