Sauron was killed so simple...how many of u go with me???

the whole trilogy was about killing or defeating sauron by killing him, it really wasn't easy becasue the only way to defeat him was to destroy the ring at mt. doom, the mountain where the ring was made and as you see, it took them three stories to complete the struggles and troubles, so it really isn't easy. Aside from having to destroy the ring, the ring alone is a hard thing to bear because you can be influenced by the malice of the ring, which makes it so difficult for every character to diminish the ring.

Sauron wasn't killed by Eowyn, The King of the Nazgul was. He thought he was undefeatable because 'no mortal man could kill him', but he was bested not by a man, but by a woman. Sauron was ultimately killed by Frodo (and indirectly by Gollum) when the One Ring was plunged into the fires of Mount Doom.
