Do you consider the fuel efficientcy when buying a new car? Do you drive a smaller car to save fuel? Does your current vehicle use alot of fuel?

Not really. Cars that use fuel are generally cooler, and personally a car isn't just a mode of transportation, it has to be cool. Thats why my car is a 3.8 liter supercharged 6. However having said that, I don't think its too bad on petrol.

Hybrids don't really have all that much appeal do they? They would be more suited for a conservative driver who isn't aiming to impress anyone.

Some Hybrids, do infact, look ok, but compared to a nice petrol v8, they don't stand a chance for appeal.

Not to mention in the lifetime of a Hybrid, it actually produces more emissions than a Hummer. Simply because you have to manufacture the expensive technology, and then dispose of battery's. Not to mention if you want fuel efficiency, there are more efficient diesels. However I wouldn't buy one of them either, sound like tractors. But really, hybrid cars are just a con, like recycling.

I don't buy new cars. The newest car I ever bought was also the worst mistake I have ever made. And the most expensive mistake, too. I always consider the fuel efficiency of any car I buy. I drive a 1991 Mercury Capri Convertible. I bought it three years ago at a yard sale for $900, and drove it home. It is a small car. When I got it the fuel mileage was about 30 Miles Per Gallon of fuel. With careful driving, good maintenance, and some fuel additives that I have found, I now get over 40 Miles Per Gallon of fuel. I consider that to be doing VERY WELL. If you would like to find out what I am using to achieve these remarkable results you may check out my blog at: http://bobscarstuff.blogspot.com I also have a Waterless Car Wash that does a great job of keeping this car looking good and protected from the elements. Yes, I might think of a Honda hybrid. My car averages about 8 liters for each 100 kms.

I have a Mitsubishi Lancer 2006 an OZ Ralley. It takes about $35-40 dollars a week in average. With high prices of gas, I find it not bad.

my car is santro and it gives around 18 km per litre. fuel efficieny is pretty low when it is old and it is high when new. santro is a small car and it is better than others in the same segment
