My folks tell me you can dance during cooking but you can't sing

Many of us hear this words from our grandparents about their traditions and myths. When we does that kind they keep on telling us bad things will happen or good fortune will go away and will never came back. Does its affect to our stage of life nowadays?

Basically there's no such thing as bad luck because we are the one who's making our own destiny and we are responsible for all the actions we do. Myths are myths and they are just created so that people will have some reference regarding karma and all of those things.
