Would you ever admit you cheated on your partner?

Do you expect to be forgiven? Or would you accept the consequences of your actions?

It would depend a lot, I think, on the degree of cheating. If you'd only cheated once and regretted it, then I think you might not say anything, but on the other hand, if you'd cheated more than once, I would imagine you might either feel a pang of guilt, or you might prefer the person whom you're cheating with. In this case, it's best to come clean. I don't think you would confess with the expectancy to be forgiven... more to clear the air and get it off your mind. Therefore, I would be prepared to accept the consequences.
