I have been putting my sincere efforts to write short stories on social problems like unethical means to earn money, widow remarriage, son opposing father/mother, failure of love marriage, providing higher education to children against their wishes etc. The book on short stories depicting these problems in regional language of India (Kannada)have been recently published. I am awaiting the reactions from the reader. Do you like the stories?

Well, I can't say whether I like them or not if I haven't read them. I like stories where the individual struggles against the system, but they have to be presented in an original way. That's why Kafka is my favorite author of fiction. People say his stories are surreal, but he had a keen eye and he understood how the individual is pressured, coerced and ultimately defeated by authority. I relate the most to his accounts about the ridicule of bureaucracy.
