working with animals abroad

I really would love to work with animals abroad. I have no qualifactions in this field but i just want to help animals in a very big way. What i want to do is go out to south africa and help with the poaching and looking after ophened animals. I would also like to go out for a year or may be 2 years. Could you please tell me how i could go about starting to do this.
